Estimating & Costing
Estimating and costing is our main area of work, we transform plans into numbers. We take the details from the plans and specifications and merge them into our schedules, from here we then measure all work items to provide a fully detailed tender showing work items, quantities, unit rates and sub totals and the all important total.
We go further and can prepare breakdowns for materials, labour, subcontract costs, plant etc so you know what allowances have been made. The schedules can be used to buy materials and even help with stage payments. We break everything down to the smallest detail to ensure all items get allowed for within your bid.
We price all building works in all sectors, project values ranging from a few hundred pounds to millions of pounds, whatever your requirement do not hesitate to contact us.
Full take off & measuring service
We provide measuring and taking off services from drawings and specifications. We extract measurements from the drawings and reference these with the materials specification to provide a fully detailed schedule.
This can either be used to compile a bill of quantities, measured schedule of works or a detailed material schedule. All of these documents will aid in the costing element of the project and will be an invaluable financial document throughout the project.

Outline & Detailed Costings
If you are planning to carry out a construction project but need a little help with the numbers we can provide outline and detailed estimating packages to suit your budget.
If you need an outline report where costs prohibit or a design is not defined we can calculate your requirements for the project and work a budget for you.
Should you want to commit to a project we can then breakdown the budget to a detailed summary of all costs. This can be used for many purposes once the project commences and it will form one of the many important documents for the project.
We use Microsoft excel based estimating and measuring programmes to provide SMM7 based bills. We extract information and measurements from the drawings and specification to compile the bills of quantities, once all of these documents are complete you will be ready to tender your project.
Material scheduling & procurement
We can estimate the materials you will need for a construction project and then provide a procurement document detailing the stages of the construction project and when people and materials need to be on site ensuring everything is organised and runs in a timely fashion avoiding any delays due to personnel or materials not being on site when they are needed.
Labour only estimating for housing & contracting
We provide our services throughout the industry for all types of construction and building. We have many clients who work on a labour only basis so have a vast experience of estimating and costing in this sector. We provide detailed measurements and schedules to cost up the various sectors of the housing market. We can also assist in valuations and payments utilising the schedules compiled at tender time thus saving you money in the future.
Quantity Surveying & Project Management
If your tender is accepted we can work on your behalf throughout the contract, we take control of the finances so you know what is going on from day one. More often than not a project will differ from what was planned, we identify the variations in a project and make sure the budget takes them into account. We ensure you and your client know where the finances are going on a project, we can assist in stage claims & additional works and we generally deal with the whole financial are of the project. We can provide schedules projecting final costs along with detailed cash flow forecasts in order for you to plan your finances from the start to the finish.
Cashflow & Budget Forecasting
We can provide budget forecasting by estimating the costs of the project letting you know if it will come in budget or not. Using your cashflow we can also estimate if you will have any money problems down the line and provide advice on how to avert it.
Specification Compilation & BQ Preparation
We provide specification compilation from drawings or building regulation information, we can work to the national building specification or a custom made for your project. We extract the information from the drawings in order to understand the project in specific depth in each section of works. Once a specification is present and along with the drawings and other project information we are able to compile fully measured or unmeasured bills of quantities.
